Registration fee
The registration fees, different for standard and student partecipants, and for early-bird or late registration, will be soon available here.
On-site payment (at the conference venue) will not be accepted, so please pay the registration fee online in advance through the registration site above.
The registration fee will include:
- Material distributed for the conference, access to meeting rooms, wifi
- Welcome reception
- Sicilian street foot event
- Refreshments at poster sessions
Lunch and meals are not included in the registration fee. An additional limited fee for the gala banquet is planned.
Accompanying person registration fees include Welcome Reception and Sicilian thematic event.
Accomodations
The registration to the Hotel should be made directly by attendants. A code will be soon indicated here to have the reduced registration fee at Saracen Sands Hotel, to be indicated during the registration procedure. The deadline indicated by the Hotel for the pre-booked rooms is 28 Feb. 2025 After this date, the Hotel do not guarantee the availability of the rooms. Being limited the number of rooms available, it is warmy suggested to make the reservation as soon as possible. Online booking for the Saracen Sands Hotels is at this link.
Other Hotels nearby the conference are Hotel Sirenetta and AR Palace Hotel - Palermo. Apartmers and B&B solutions are also available neaby. Please, note the the village of Isola delle Femmine, where also various Hotels and other solutions are present is at about 2-2.5 km from the Saracen Sands Hotel (around half an hour by walk).
VISA and Invitation Letter
Participants coming from outside the Schengen Area wishing to enter Italy must be able to submit statutory documents at the border concerning the reasons for their stay, their means of support and accommodation arrangements.
A visa is generally required, in the absence of a waiver. For general information and for preparing, submitting and tracking your visa application, log on to
Italy-Visas , Italy’s official visa site, with all the information you need to guide you through the process and help you every step of the way.
Waiting times for appointments and for processing applications will vary depending on your nationality and on the time of the year. Participants are advised to check whether they will need a visa and submit any visa application well in advance of the conference.
If you need an invitation letter for a visa purpose, you will be able to request it through the registration process. For participants submitting contributed abstracts, requests should be made as soon as possible after receiving notification of acceptance.

The participants giving oral or poster presentations should register before early-bird date. * PhD students or not-structured persons with an age below 35 years. A letter of presentation is necessary. | ||

To the bank account of EUROPEAN RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF CATALYSIS AISBL at ING BELGIUM bank (account BE44 3631 9550 4045).
Modalities for the payment to this bank account will be provided later, when registration page will be active.
PLEASE NOTE: All bank charges should be covered by participants.
DATA PROCESSING (GDPR)
The information that you will enter into the registration form will be subject to computer processing by Insight Outside. It is processed by computer for the organizers in order to manage the logistic organisation of ICEC 2025.

Photography
As in-person participants of ICEC 2025, the registered delegates authorize the organizers to use any photograph or video taken during the congress and to make it available on the congress website and on partners medias; to the express exclusion of operations outside the context of the communication activities related to the event, and any use likely to damage reputation or any other medium of pornographic, racist, xenophobic character or any other prejudicial exploitation.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Delegates who find themselves unable to attend ICEC 2025 after submitting a registration form are most welcome to nominate a substitute. All substitutions and cancellations should be notified in writing by e-mail to ERIC aisbl at info@icec2025.com
- Cancellations until 15 May 2025 - 50€ for administrative costs
- Cancellations from 15 May 2025 to 1 June 2025 - 50% penalty
- Cancellations after 2 June 2025: no refund - 100% penalty
Exclusions
- If you do not get your VISA, and you can prove it through documents, we will refund 100% of your fees (except 50€ for administrative costs and banking fees for the refunding), should we receive the notification at least 30 days prior to the conference.
- Conference organizers cannot accept refund requests from the conference delegates that result from cancelled flights and/or natural disasters/calamities.
